I admit that this is my favorite time of the year.  Maybe the exhilarating first days of summer and the crisp first days of fall can compete, but the holiday season is by far the best period in my book.  'Tis the season to give, laugh, love, cherish and of course drink hot cocoa- no matter the holiday you celebrate come December.  I myself am a Christmas girl and don't need much more than a fireplace, hot cup of tea and fuzzy socks to make me happy these days.

This November we are celebrating Storia’s first birthday.  It was just last October when we got our Etsy shop up and running and last December when we finished putting up the first version of thestoriaproject.com.  Hard to imagine it’s already been a year… and funny to think that it’s only been a year.  I guess time flies when you’re having fun.All month long we’ve got some little “thank you” slash “birthday” sales going on, all revolving around 10%, because it’s our first brithday. Yesterday I sold my first trucker on Etsy!  I was so excited that I started screaming and I spent a good couple minutes jumping up and down like a little girl with Federico (mostly just me jumping- him staring).  He asserted that if we didn't celebrate immediately it would "porta male" (bring bad luck) so, as you can imagine, we took care of that really quickly and had a couple glasses of wine in that very moment.  I've only had my shop up for four days and already I have to work out shipping details. My work is starting to keep me on my toes and I like it!


Yesterday was also my dad's birthday.  We've lived across the Atlantic  from each other for over six years so I have had to become more and more creative with finding new ways to send my birthday wishes.  This year I made a powerpoint presentation with a type of birthday card message, lots of inside jokes, and tons of hilarious photos.  What came out in the end was something that (in my humble opinion) was very awesome.  I was so incredibly proud of myself.  The problem was that I'm a bit technology stupid so I spent half the day trying to send it to him.  So, between celebrating the hat sale and continuing to upload (slowly) more items on Etsy I was also trying everything known to the email/social network/blogging world to deliver the movie to my dad.  Ah, the fun never ends...
